Did you Vote? Do you Feel like it was not worth it now that the election is over?
The Republicans capitalized on folks not even going to the polls, and it worked! The Democrats failed to gain control of the Senate and the House, so this means a bunch of expensive, unfair foolishness will continue to go on with our government. Its a sad day for America and even worse for President Obama.
Progress will not occur, Change is happening and the American people certainly have lost hope and faith in democracy.
So the question is…. now what? Don’t bitch or complain, its time to step your game up. This also includes your pockets. If you are the minority with no control its time that you invest in yourself and change your mindset on how you are going to stay afloat. Change will never occur with how our government is ran if we continue to not participate in the process and stop electing people who do not have our best interest at heart.
According to the Washington Post, they List what the Republicans should do first come January 2015. They are:
- Abolish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
- Repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board.
- Repeal the Affordable Care Act’s tax on medical devices.
- Improve energy, economic and environmental conditions by authorizing construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
- Mandate completion of the nuclear waste repository in Nevada’s Yucca Mountain
- Pass the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act.
Most of these initiatives will take a miracle for everyone to come together and make it happen, but that is a fantasy. Just like the fantasy of your vote counting. The article is sums up Progressivism like this:
The 2016 presidential election would follow a two-year demonstration of how reactionary progressivism is in opposing changes to the nation’s trajectory. Congressional actions provoking executive rejections would frame the argument about progressivism. And as Margaret Thatcher advised, first you win the argument, then you win the vote.
I hope you enjoyed this article. Leave me a comment on what you think should happen next, if you didn’t bother to VOTE in the past mid-term then Don’t Bother commenting!
